Starbucks are creating new FRappuccinos this summer.
The coffee giant announced that it will launch four new FRappuccino flavors for the summer, coming this July.
New mixed drinks include caramel salted mocha, strawberry matcha and brown sugar – all of these come in the top with cold foam – as well as FRappuccino fireworks.
With the fourth time of July, FRappucci fireworks give a “festive turn” to the summer berries refresh.
According to an alleged Starbucks employee at Reddit, FRappucccino fireworks are made with a wine milk base and coconut milk base, pearls, puree and cold foam.
The user also noted that the holiday FRAP will only be available from July 1 to July 7.
While many clients seem to be excited about new Frapuccinos, online baristas are less than happy – complaining that new fraps go against the company’s intention to “simplify” the menu.
“So much for simplifying the menu, my fruits already last longer than any other drink to do for me,” one complained to Reddit. “This will suuuuck so much to do quickly.”
“Yes, I mean, didn’t you hear them? They were simplifying the menu by removing them with coffee and coming out with 12 steps with cold foam steps. Of course this is what makes sense,” snarked another.
When CEO Brian Niccol first took over the company, he noted that one of his advantages to accelerate growth would be to simplify the “overly” menu so that the barists can speed up the service – part of his “return to Starbucks”.
“Back in 30 minutes of waiting to enjoy,” someone withdrew.
Starbucks launched its summer menu in May with return favorites as well as new seasonal drinks and snacks.
In the seasonal menu is the new espresso of the shaken horchata of the new horchata, which combines the blonde express with the horchata syrup-a mixture of cinnamon, vanilla and rice-shaken with ice and top with oat milk.
Another new menu treatment is a food article: strawberry & pop cake Cake, which is created to look like a strawberry and contains cake cake with butter and dipped in chocolate cream.
Moreover, their new cool brown sugar foam “offers a light and soft structure with a caramel -like sweetness and pairs perfectly with a cold production, icy or fresh white chai.”
