A particularly courageous driver of the Dobordash inadvertently reigned the constant debate on getting a worrying request for more money – before he even delivered the meal of taking a client.
The problem to go was discovered by a confused and hungry redditor who took on the popular conversation page to share a strange exchange with a worker identified as “slaves” who ceased a series of touching text messages while waiting to receive the eager order in an unnamed restaurant.
The raised recipient explained that after spending $ 5 on her bill in advance, she was shocked when she received a random DM from the courageous concert worker-begging for greater bankruptcy.
His reasoning? Bad weather.
He even sent photographic evidence to support his claim, showing images of rooted street flooding roads.
He followed a message that read: “It is a lot of rain here. If you can add compensation that would be highly appreciated and useful.”
He then added, “driving more than 10 miles to get your delivered food.”
But the client was not convinced. “I looked up and wasn’t 10 miles away and I definitely had got it well. That’s the odd part for me he wanted me to grow my top already $ 5,” she wrote.
News about the maintenance saga drew hundreds of answers. And while many readers – some of them doordash workers themselves – sympathized with the difficult driver conditions, they also retired back to the idea of looking for more money.
“Struggling more just because it rains is a crazy question,” one dasher wrote, though they admitted that extreme weather could make the distribution more dangerous and frustrating.
“I was falling in love with another day, I got a storm warning on my phone, and she went from calm to SH-Tty on a 10-minute issue,” they recalled.
Another worker added, “Material is more dangerous to drive in strong rain, however when I wanted, I would still make people get them at all. I would never ask, but if you are not so willing to go out and drive in the rain, but expect someone else to do it, you should be taking it more than usual.”
The scenario sparked a lot of debate – with most people agreeing that the search for a council after the order was placed.
This is not the first time Doordash has found himself in the midst of a polemic associated with taking eye -catching.
A Doorash driver went viral after she refused to give a man his food – after he gave her $ 8 for a shipment, which she found to be insufficient. The footage of the ring cameras showed the woman who shouted to her husband, claiming she would make an extremely long journey in his name.
Meanwhile, the company has been called to the carpet in recent months – while they pay their employees.
Dobordash was ordered to pay almost $ 17 million earlier this year to resolve claims that she used customer advice unfairly to subsidize her New York offering workers’ salaries – instead of letting drivers keep their guaranteed salary tips.
The Control Culture at the US has increasingly under control, with many customers citing increased food costs, taxes and service fees, as the reasons they are less – although they are required to use everywhere.
Experts suggest receiving 15-20% of the final food distribution invoice.
And while it is not mandatory, it is widely considered good labeling – and undoubtedly during the bad weather.
